Cloudy pool water: testing and fix
Cloudy water is usually a chemistry or filtration problem caught early — before it turns green. We test the water, find the cause and correct it.
Common causes we check
- Low free chlorine after heavy use, sun or rain
- pH or alkalinity out of range
- A dirty or clogged filter, or the pump not running long enough
- Fine debris and dust (common in Guanacaste's dry season)
What the visit includes
Water testing (pH, free and total chlorine, alkalinity), chemical correction, filter cleaning and a pump check. You get a report with the readings and photos.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to swim in a cloudy pool?
Cloudy water can hide low sanitizer levels and makes it hard to see the bottom. It's best to fix it before swimming.
